Serial killers can kill while their on the job, and innocent people are killed everyday. The case about Joseph Dewey Akin and Robert J. Price is very interesting but it’s not really fair, because Akin should’ve been locked up if he had been killing people for over a decade. When he finally went to jail he should’ve got more than 15 years. A serial killer is a person that murders 3 or more people in short period of time. It is said that serial killers suffer from some form of antisocial personality disorder. Serial killer entered the popular vernacular in large part do to the widely publicized crimes of Ted Bundy and David Burkowitz in the years of 1970.
The reason why I want to do my writing on unsolved murders is because I think that it’s interesting and I want to learn more about it. There are many people in the United States who have died, yet have not been avenged for their unsolved murders. I know for a fact that we have a lot of unsolved murders that are under investigation for years and still remain to be solved. In my writing, my main focus is about a serial killer named Joseph Dewey Akin and a victim named Robert J. Price.
Joseph Dewey Akin was a Nurse at Copper Greene Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He was only 35 years old and for over a decade, investigators suspected him of over 100 deaths in 20 different facilities in which he worked (Code Blue Junkie). He had been suspected of causing many Code Blue medical emergencies in Alabama; he also participated in crimes surrounding hospitals around the metro Atlanta area. When he was working in Georgia, the emergencies at one hospital were unusually high. He was arrested for giving Robert J. Price an overdose of lidocaine. Akin did not go to jail for that case because the Price family was billed for the lidocaine. “Another retrial was scheduled for March 1998, but two months before it was to begin; he had pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was given 15 years in prison”.
Joseph Dewey’s victim Robert J. Price was a 32 year old Quadriplegic who was killed in 1992 from an overdose of lidocaine. His assigned nurse, named Marion Albright, had gone out for lunch. Upon returning, she saw Joseph Dewey Akin walking out of her patient’s room. When she was trying to go and check on Price, Akin was trying to prevent her from doing so. When she finally went in, she saw Price laying there and immediately called for help. When the emergency team came, they found a blocked ventilation tube that was stopping him from breathing. The bill that the Price family had received for the lidocaine was a false bill. So the case of Joseph Dewey Akin continued for 6 years and he was never arrested for Price’s death.
Lidocaine was first called xylocaine. Nils Lofgren invented it and tested the first anesthesia on him in 1943. In 1948 it was used on other people. The elimination half-life lidocaine is approximately 1.5-2 hours in most patients. It alters depolarization in neurons, by blocking the fast voltage gated sodium channels in the cell membrane. Lidocaine has been shown to relieve postherpetic neuralgia in some patients. But it is not enough study evidence to recommend it as a first line treatment.
I wish it was something to do that could stop people from wanting to kill other people. I would like to know what a serial killer thinks about when they feel that it’s a time to kill someone. I wonder if they think that the whole world is after them or if their jealous and want someone else to feel their pain. And innocent people shouldn’t have to die because of someone else’s illness. Most serial killer’s are bipolar and schizophrenic, schizophrenic people here voices and will attack anything in their way.

I'm still reading the same book and Jamella has found a man that she doesn't really like but he has money and he really likes her. She is trying to find ways to make herself like him because she really wants to be in love with someone, and she is tired of being her bestfriend and her bestfriend husband third wheel.

When the story talked about the Kaatskill mountains and how they dismembered branch of the great Appalacian family and the way it swells up to a noble height, It produces some magical hues and when it glow and lights up like a crown of glory, I find that to be romantic because it sounds like their alone and the way that it lights up like a crown of glory it sounds like it's only for a couple in the mountains. Their focusing on nature and using their imagination to get their mind off their regular life.

In This poem when it say's the great tree that used to shelter the quiet little Dutch Inn of yore, that is also romantic because it is a shelter in a tree and it's quiet. This is Romantic because it is made for only a couple.

I think that the Thanatopsis poem is talking about life after death . It's saying you leave the world and you go to another life. Something like paradise , and in that life things are good and you don't have to worry about anything. And I think that this poem is romantic because their at a waterfall and theirs nobody around.

The ropewalk poem is talking about a circus and how people sets up for a circus. The person who is writing the poem is talking about how dull his job is and how he is using his immagination to get away from his real job. He is talking about what all a rope can do and immagining that the rope was used for regular people doing something else with the rope, for example he is talking about a little boy flying a kite. In the picture the people look bored and dull. It's not many people in the picture. This poem is a good example of romanticism because the person who wrote the poem is using his imagination to get away from his boring dull job.

I think that the video is trying to tell everyone that is afraid of death is to not be afraid of dying and it will be better in the ground instead of on the earth. It is saying it will be cleaner and people who wouldn't speak to you while you were alive will accompany you when you die. In the poem it say's "thou shalt lie down patriarches of the infant world-- with kings, the powerful of the earth-- the wise, the good, fare forms, and hoary seers of ages past, all in one mighty sepulchre" it is talking about when you die those are the people you will be with and everyone will be the same and will be treated the same. The romantic part of this poem is when nature talks and tells how it is when you die and tells how soft her voice is so soft and how she is happy, that is what I thought was romantic because listening to nature and being alone is romantic.

The picture is big and it doesn't look like it's in the city. To a person that lives in a city with dead horses outside their window would see this and imagine things because they never seen anything like it because their only used to living where they live at. and this picture looks pretty and quiet it doesn't have anyone in it and it just looks romantic.

The picture that I chose is a picture of people looking out into the ocean and the artist of this painting made it look like it was really big, it was drawn to skretch your imagination a little further. It has sailboats all the way in the back to make it look as if the people in this picture has never seen this before and their using their imagination that's why the picture looks so big because their trying to look at everything at one time.

I'm still reading the book Called Love is Never Painless, In the book the girl name Jamella is tired of being alone and she wants a man of her own. and her friend is still trying to make her relationship work. Jemella cries everyday wanting someone to love her.

Dodge Viper

This is a picture of a Viper. This is the new snake skin Viper, that’s the name of the car. It’s a sports car, and it’s a two door, it’s small so it can go fast. I like sports cars because their small and I like this picture because it’s green and the trees are green. One day I want to be able to buy myself a green Viper.
This viper is green with black stripes. The reason why I chose the green Viper over another color is because green is my favorite color. This is a snake skin type of green. It looks like a snake because the way the front of it is made, the hood of the car looks like a snake head. The black stripe on the car brings more attention to the car because it’s unique and makes you think about a snake more. The color really stands out on the car because it’s a bright green. But I think green and black really looks good together.
The car is not a family car because it can only fit two people. From the outside of the car I can see vents to let air go into the engine. The tires are big and the car is smaller so I can tell that it’s not an average family car and that it looks like a sports car. It’s a 6 speed manual so it’s a stick shift. The wheelbase is 98.8 in. the length is 175.6 in. the height is 47.6 in. and it holds up to 16 gallons of gas. In Clermont Florida the car is $83,895.00.
It goes from 0 to 60 mph. in 4 seconds. But the top speed of a Viper is 200 miles per hour. It also is said that the Viper can 0-100-0 mph in just above 12 seconds. The Viper has changed from the Michelin Pilot sports to a new tire. The tire on the viper is not the same because the new tire works better, is more reliable and has more support. Another half-degree of caster was added to help stabilize the car. The result is a sensitive and responsive handling package that never wallows or in a corner. With a top speed of over 200 mph, the new Viper is one serpent to be reckoned with.
In the background of this picture you can tell that the car is moving fast because of how the trees and the road look. The shadow on the road makes the car looks like its going fast because it looks blurry. But the car looks like its standing still. I think that the photograph was made to show people that the car goes fast and to pursue people to buy the car.
It was a lot of effort in taking this picture and just by looking at the picture and how it looks like its going so fast, the way the picture makes the background look like its blurry made me more interested in the car. I learned that the Dodge Viper is a 6 speed manual, which is something I didn’t know at first. I like this car more because it’s very fast and it goes from 0-60 mph in 4 seconds. Love Is Never Painless.

The book I'm reading is about two girls and their best friends who both came from the 9th ward New Orleans. They were poor growing up and they just wanted to get out of the ghetto. so they went to this college and one of them found a boyfriend and they got married and had a child. He was rich and now that she is living the rich life she wishes to just be normal and live like she was living at first. But her mother don't won't her to come home. Now that she is with him she can't eat like she won't to eat and she can't even cook for her self.

BEN FRANKLIN

Ben Franklin didn't accept the Puritan notion that God was responsible for everything.


Puritans pleaded with God for improvement and the Puritans believed in God for everthing.


Rationalist in America wanted to acheive order and Explanation of the natural through science. Rationalists men and women also believed that human society was run by natural laws. They believed everything through science and believed that they could take a scientific approach of self-improvement.



When he said he would conquer all the either natural inclination, custom, or company might lead him into, that is an good example of of being a rationalist. The reason why I chose that one is because he believes in whatever happens it happens for a reason.

3. Respect- have respect for myself and for other people
4. Plans- Know what I want to do with my life; plan everything before it happen
5. Confident- believe in myself; never doubt myself

9. Order- To have my things organized
10. Moderations- keep away from extreams
11. Justice- amitting what is my duty
12. Sincerity- think innocently
13. Fragality- I don't need to waste nothing

I heard in the film Sinners in the hand of the angry God Those selected by God for salvation are the only ones he save. Johnathan Edwards and the saints believed in that and Johnathan Edwards was the one who wrote the film. It also say it in private and communal farming.

Adam and Eve's sin makes everyone suffers because of the fruit they ate. I also heard that alot in the film.

Through Adam and Eve's fall the Puritans believd that all people was born in sin and only people that was chosen by god were saved. I don't agree with the puritans faulting people who has nothing to do with Adam and Eve's mistake because they have nothing to do with them eating the fruit and most of the people was not born around that time. I believed that children that was born after what happen with Adam and Eve should be saved and not have to go through living with sin.

The angry god that held the sinners in his hand also believed that all people would not be saved and Jesus did not die for everyone he only died for a few. I believe that Jesus died for everyone and that there's no such thing as an angry god and God loved everyone the same. I don't believe that you would have to suffer for not making your own mistake and for someone else's mistake. John Edward's believed that it was up to the saints to interpret the word of God. And the saints shouldn't be able to put beliefs in people head they should have the right to believe what they want to believe.

They believed that the only thing between men and hell was air and that the angry god held them in his hands and all wicked things will be held and against them and that makes pressure on the angry god's hand and it would push them deeper into the pit's of hell. I think that whatever men did back then should've been able to be forgiven for their sins because everyone makes mistakes.

The puritans wore all black and wrote so boring because they didn't won't to be looking all happy in hell and they wanted to make it seem like hell was real horrible. And the men and the children did not have freedom of speech and could not say what they wanted about their ancestors.

Summary of the Puritans Beliefs

The puritans believed that through adam's and eve's fall all people is born sinful and god saves only a few people he selected. God's grace cannot be earned or denied. Grace is the saving and transfiguring power of god. And it is said that Jesus died for the chosen only, not for everyone. the only ones that get to live uprightly and have the full power to interpret the will of god is those elected by him and that is perserverance of the saints

The sinners in the hands of the angry god believed that not all people will be saved by god and the rest would just go to hell. The reason why the puritans believed in that is because of Adam and Eve everyone was born a sinner. They believed it was no way to earn god's grace. Like Jonathon Edwards it was up to the saints to interpret the word of god. And men are held in the hand of god over the pit of hell and god can turn them lose at anytime and the devil is waiting for them and the mouth of hell is open.

It was believed that there was nothing between men and hell but the air. if you was to act wicked it would just make pressure on god's hand and would push you down deeper towards hell into the bottomless gulf and the black clouds of god's wrath hanging over your head full of dreadful storms and filled with thunder.

On the Mayflower they arrived in harbor and brought safe to land. The children and the men cannot say "Our father's were englishmen which came ever this great ocean, and were ready to perish in this wilderness; but they cried unto the lord, and he heard their voice and looked on their adversity.
